The Aralanet Project

Aralanet is a creative commons Integrative Service Delivery Solution Project to support instruction and learning through the freely available Internet services, web based re-usable content, and open source technology. It offers the logical, easy and cost-effective way to realize the educational benefits and equalizing opportunity provided by the technology infrastructure investments of the schools, government, civil society, and business.

The service delivery solution of Aralanet defines the implementation framework, methodology, technology, content, capability building and service providers to make the effective integration and use of information and communications technology in achieving the instructional service objectives of the educational stakeholders.

It also brings forward the process of making the Community Internet Access Providers that are operating near the schools to become the collaborative partners of educational institutions in bringing both the students and teachers into the digital space that offers instructional presentation, activities, references and assessment.

Aralanet introduces to the schools and Community Internet Access Providers the Knowledge WebBoard Project and OpenDESK, which stands for Open Digital Education Software Kit.
